[Sobre un triciclo Tuk-Tuk en escala 1:24.]

La versión en escala 1:24 [del Tuk-Tuk] es exactamente igual y mucho más barato que el modelo 1:43 de IXO (sólo unos 10$). Es manufacturado localmente en Tailandia y se ha fabricado en 5 colores diferentes durante alrededor de la última década en Bangkok, siendo muy fáciles de encontrar. Yo he visto uno Tuk-Tuk usado de estos en la revista especializada Fine Car Scale Enthusiastist en venta por 50$ o algo así. Yo no pago tanto dinero ni mucho menos, casi lo mismo que por un Franklin Mint o un CMC. El vendedor sólo quiere quedarse con tu dinero. Sospecho.

Me gustó la colección de Esteban Sabbatini con su museo en 1:24. Yo pienso que podría planear y realizar un expositor-museo como ese algún día.

Sobre las fotos de mi colección, podríamos comenzar con Ferrari. Yo tengo desde el primer Ferrari F1 ((kits de Revival Inc.; por aquellos tiempos, Ferrari todavía corría junto a Alfa Romeo y Lancia en los 50s). Actualmente yo tengo más de 75 Ferrari, en su mayoría en escala 1:24, desde modelos de calle, carreras, F1, conceptuales, así como prototipos deportivos y de Le Mans. Tengo una muestra de Ferraris F-40 multiescala, como podrás ver, desde la escala 1:8 y bajando a la 1:87 (¡con características de apertura en todos ellos! ¡por eso los compré!).

En la siguiente estantería tengo la muestra italiana. En la superior está Lamborghini, seguido por Maserati. Luego, algunas piezas de Mercedes-Benz (en efecto, tengo alrededor de 80 piezas de Mercedes Benz, pero todavía guardo la mayoría de ellos almacenados por falta de espacio). Espero poder mostrarlos todos juntos algún día cuando tenga más espacio. Más abajo está Jaguar y algunos modelos en 1:12, como el XJ 220 y el Coutach.

En otros estantes, un conjunto de vehículos antiguos y clásicos que son mis favoritos. Yo tengo cosas como el 1886 Benz Patentwagon en 1/8, 1/12 De Dion Bouton, 3-wheel Morgan, Worseley tourer, model-T, Lincoln Touring, Thomas flyer, Bugattis (incluyendo los Royal -yo ya tengo 5 de las 6 diferentes carrocerías que vistieron este chasis-; ¡ahora, yo tengo lo mejor de los Royal históricos que se muestran Pebble Beach ConCour`s De Elegance en mi casa!) hasta algunos vehículos antiincendios antiguos como el Christie y el Ford T. Luego están los superelegantes americanos como Duesenberg, Auburn, Pierce Arrow y Cord, seguido de BMW, Porsche, etc.

The 1/24 version [of the Tuk-Tuk] is exactly the same and much cheaper than 1:43 IXO (only 10$). It`s manufacured locally in Thaialnd and it comes in 5 different colors they`ve been around for a decade in Bangkok and very easy to find. I used to see one add about this Tuk Tuk in Fine Car Scale Enthusiastist modeler magazine on sale for 50$ or something. I`m not paying that much unless it`s Franklin Mint or CMC. The seller just wanna take your money, I guess.

I also like the one by Esteban Sabbatini with the 1/24 museum. I think I might paln to come up with those display museum like that one day.

About pics of my collection, you might start with Ferrari collection. I got from the first Ferrari F-1 (they are kits by Revival Inc.; by that time, they still raced together with Alfa Romeo and Lancia in the 1950`s). My showpiece is the multi-scale Ferrari F-40 line ups you see, I got 1/8 down to 1/87 (with every opening features! that`s why I bought it!).

The next display case is the Italian buffet. Top shelf is Lamborghini, followed by Maserati. Then some pieces of Mercedes-Benz (in fact, I got about 80+ pieces for Mercedes Benz, but I still keep most of them in storage due to lack of space). Hope I could have more space to display them all some day. Lower shelf is Jaguar and some large 1/12 like the XJ 220 and the Coutach.

Other shelves composes of vintage and classic vehicles that are my favourite. I`ve got everything from 1886 Benz Patentwagon in 1/8, 1/12 De Dion Bouton, 3-wheel Morgan, Worseley tourer, model-T, Lincoln Touring car, Thomas flyer, Bugattis (including the Royales -I already got 5 out of 6 existing chasis wearing different bodies-; now I moved the historical royales gathering at Pebble Beach ConCour`s De Elegance down to my house!) even some antique fire engine mobiles like the Christie and Ford T. Then, there`s american super-elegance like the Duesenberg, Auburn, pierce arrow and cord, followed by BMW, Porsche etc.
